Surveillance video obtained by TLS shows thieves roaming freely inside a Toms River home they ransacked early this morning.
This is one of three homes burglarized this morning.
The thieves made off with over $100,000 in jewelry and other valuables.
The TRPD released the following statement: During the overnight hours from 04/03/24 to 4/04/24 three crimes occurred in the North Dover (Tallymawr) section of town. It appears the suspects may be the same in all three cases.
On 4/04/24 at approximately 3:06AM four unknown suspect(s) all wearing dark clothing and face coverings forcibly gained entry to a front window of a residence on Reynolds Avenue. The suspects removed over $100k of jewelry and cameras while the homeowners slept.
It appears that these same suspects left this residence and responded to Brentwood Avenue where they started the engine of an Audi which was parked in the driveway. At 3:30AM the suspects left this vehicle running in the driveway and responded to another residence on Brentwood Avenue.
At approximately 3:37AM the homeowners at the third residence were awoken to sounds of someone trying to get into their home from the backyard. The suspects forcibly gained entry into the residence by breaking a downstairs rear window but were scared off when the homeowners awoke. It is unknown at this time if any items were removed from this residence.
The Toms River Police Department is working in conjunction with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department to solve these crimes and prevent future break-ins.

Are there no house alarms for these homeowners? Removing a window would’ve turned on the alarm system and notified police.
More sticky fingers strikes again
Once again folks need alarms. This never would have happened if their home was armed with an alarm.
