Pediatric Affiliates Immediate Care – formerly Lakewood Immediate Care – is now open and under the leadership of Dr. Shanik and Dr. Haimowitz.
As first reported last week, the facility – located in the Gourmet Glatt North plaza – was acquired by Pediatric Affiliates.
The facility is now open and accepting appointments and walk-ins, Dr. Shanik tells TLS.
All insurances are accepted except United Healthcare Community plan.
(The facility is open Sunday-Thursday 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM, Friday 9:00 AM until two hours before Shabbos, and Motzei Shabbos from an hour after Shabbos. For more information you can call 732-987-6151.)
What Lakewood really needs is a specialist in Geriatrics. With all the senior areas in Lakewood, such as Pine River, Enclave, Country Place, etc. there is a great open opportunity here.
The paperwork for collecting from insurance for the doctor should be much easier than for other specialties as the doctor would only need to accept Medicare therefore he wouldn’t need to hire so many office assistants.
