Lakewood Immediate Care, Lakewood’s first walk-in medical facility, has been acquired today by Pediatric Affiliates, TLS has learned.
The facility, located in the Gourmet Glatt Plaza, opened in December of 2015, and its opening was followed by multiple similar facilities around Lakewood.
This location will now be known as ‘Pediatric Affiliates Immediate Care’, and will now be seeing pediatric and adolescent patients only.
Facility personnel tell TLS they will be closed for several days during this transition.
So sorry to hear this. They really were a terrific facility.
Who says the new entity won’t be just as good of not better
“They will be seeing Pedeatric and adults only” – as opposed to what?
Lil since you seem confused I’ll explain it on a simple level. It says pediatric and adolescent, not pedeatric and adults, which means kids and teenagers until age 19.
Read again. They will be seeing pediatric and adolescents only. No adults. That makes a difference!!
No adults? It was a quick easy nice friendly immediate care for all.
Please update for us to know.
Does not say adults Says Adolescents
To anonymous: please read the words. Nowhere does it say ‘adults’.
That is correct. They are a PEDIATRIC facility. No ADULTS. I heard from a very reliable source that they were not making it financially for 2 reasons and were forced to come out of pocket to make payroll several times a year. They sold at a huge loss but were able to recoup some of their money.
