Cable & Cell Phone Carriers Giving Refunds To Storm-Hit Zone Customers

Have you lost cable or cell phone service during the recent Hurricane and Nor’easter? Well there’s a bit of good news. Cable companies –  such as Cablevision and cell phone carriers are refunding customers for the days they were without service due to the storms.

Earlier, TLS reported about the efforts of Assemblywoman Amy H. Handlin to ensure that companies refund consumers ‘no questions asked’, but it appears that unless you call in for that refund, it won’t be guaranteed.

Some cable and phone companies already have Hurricane and Nor’easter-hit zip codes on their radar for refunds, so when calling from those areas refunds can be obtained within a couple of minutes. TLS.

  2. I lost phone service during the storm even the days when I had electricity. I just called the phone company today and told them that I did not have service and they will be crediting my account for the days I did not have service. The representative was very helpful and pleasant on the phone.

  3. Money Talk. I’m not saying you didn’t suffer damages during the storm. But please a little subtlety! your basically saying no matter hoe happy or unhappy you are with the cell phone company there giving money so I’M TAKING!!! (#ObamaPhone)

  4. Moneytalk,
I think you’re being somewhat dishonest and “piggish” on this. At the very least, don’t advertise your ways of making money. Believe it or not, some people still like doing it the old way-by working and making an honest living.
