The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has dismissed attempted murder and aggravated arson charges against the man accused of setting a woman on fire in a Plumsted Township wooded area earlier this month, and the woman who accused him has now been charged with falsely incriminating him.
Justin Martin, 36, of Saddle Brook, was charged on October 16 with attempted murder and aggravated arson after police and EMS found Chelsea Villano, 33, of Eatontown, suffering from burns in a wooded area near Hawkin Road and Success Road on October 15.
Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that further investigation revealed Villano provided false information to law enforcement about how she sustained her injuries and who caused those injuries. Villano was charged Friday with two counts of Falsely Incriminating Another and taken into custody at Eatontown Police Headquarters. She was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where she is presently lodged pending a detention hearing.
Villano had been treated at the Temple University Burn Center in Philadelphia and released days later. Martin, who was located in Asbury Park and taken into custody without incident hours after the incident, was released from the Ocean County Jail on October 19.
The charges against Martin were administratively dismissed on Friday “in the interests of justice,” Billhimer said.

So did she bun herself purposely to incriminate another, or just somehow got the burns and then tried to make some money off it by attempting to sue him?! The burning question!
