Drugs are the alleged cause of yet another death in Lakewood, police say.
At approximately 9:45 am on December 23, Officer Daniel Brooks responded to the Best Western Hotel for an unresponsive male.
Upon arrival, Officer Brooks was informed that a 30-year-old Jackson man was discovered by a family member who grew concerned when they hadn’t heard from him.
After entering the room, they found the victim on the floor. It appeared as if he had passed away a few hours prior.
“At this time the death is being investigated as a drug overdose,” Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmith says. “However, the cause of death will be officially determined after an autopsy is conducted by the Ocean County Medical Examiners Office.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Oscar Valmon at 732-363-0200.
How is this becoming so popular? What can be done??
