PHOTOS: A Lakewood woman was hospitalized this evening after being struck by, and dragged underneath a vehicle, officials tell TLS.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Kennedy Boulevard and Squankum Road, where a two-vehicle crash sent a work van out of control, striking a pedestrian, sources say.
The woman was pinned under the vehicle and dragged around 15 feet, an official said.
Multiple BLS and ALS members of Hatzolah and Lakewood First Aid responded to the scene, and managed to extricate the woman from under the vehicle.
She was transported by Hatzolah Paramedics to Jersey Shore Medical University Center with multiple injuries – none which appear life-threatening, officials say.
One other person was reportedly injured in the incident and transported to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.

I watched the accident as it unfolded. What a pity if only we would NOT be in such a RUSH to catch the Bus.it wud of been avoided Refua Sh’laima to the Injured
To Horowitz: I presume you saw something that is not mentioned in the story?because the article does not mention anything about a bus.
Menachem. Hard to understand your comment. The van was not moving and off to the side. A person who was not going to the bus rammed into the van at full speed which caused the (passenger) van to bang into pedestrians who were waiting for the bus which wasn’t there yet.
B’H it seems that aside from bruises and some broken bones (which is not wished on anyone), the long term prognosis of the accident victims is good.
The bus drivers asked that ppl not park in the side of the road and wait for the bus. They should drop off their passengers and drive away.
