Many Meteorologists are wondering the same – where did the blizzard go? Well, Meteorologist Gary Szatkowski, of the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, NJ, apologized for not getting this storm right.
“My deepest apologies to many key decision makers and so many members of the general public,” Szatkowski wrote this morning. “You made a lot of tough decisions expecting us to get it right, and we didn’t. Once again, I’m sorry.”
The Service over the last couple of days predicted extreme weather conditions, with as much as 24 inches or more for parts of Ocean County, but that didn’t exactly materialize.
Lakewood and some neighboring towns only received around 5-6 inches.
A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect until 3 PM Tuesday.
