On Friday, the PBA Local 71 – with the assistance of the FMBA Local 80 and the Interact Club – held their 5th annual Winter Coat Drive and Soup Kitchen at Downtown’s Red Square.
Together with the new PBA President Sean Ward and State Delegate Steve Kelusak, the off-duty officials and volunteers dedicated the day to helping out the less fortunate members of the community during this Holiday season.
As in previous years, hundreds of coats, sweaters and other items were distributed during the event. The slightly-used items were donated to the PBA by members of the community.
In addition to the coat distribution, the recipients and others passing through the Square enjoyed some hot soup on the chilly Friday afternoon.
The PBA also thanked Pizza Plus for donating hot pizza for the officers and volunteers.
