VIDEO MESSAGE from Board Of Education candidate Lee Mund. Mund, a resident of the Enclave senior community for six and a half years, serves as a member of the Zoning Board of Lakewood for two years and has previously served on the Mt. Olive Township School Board for 18 years.
Additionally, Mund was a member and President of the Morris County School Board and represented Morris County on the New Jersey School Board.
“The reason I’m running for the school board is because of my concern about the education and the students and the citizens of Lakewood”, Lee Mund says. “37%, you can’t afford to have an illiterate society, and we’re spending a lot of money on education, there has to be better cost-effective means to do things.” “We’ve had a dysfunctional board”, Mund says. “I’m very surprised the way we do things.”
The other candidates are incumbents Irene Miccio, Meir Grunhut and Yoni Silver. Newcomers, are Meir Singer, Joel Schwartz and Aasim Johnson.
The school board elections will be held Tuesday, April 17, which is three days after Pesach. TLS.
How will this lower my taxes?
From this little message we are not getting enough info. about him. Maybe he will do a longer presintation here again.
Our hard working teachers deserve their well erned raises.
All the non public school parent care about is lower taxes. Please present a clear cut plan. Thanks
In the long run, a higher level of education with a lower dropout rate amounts to a more civilized community with a lower crime rate. This amounts to long term savings in ways other than saved property tax dollars. It also amounts to more responsible spending of current tax dollars.
What about taxes?!?!
I am truly tired of hearing lower taxes. I have been a life long TAX payer and home owner here in Lakewood. What is important is that justice be done by all the children in lakewood and the public school teachers. They had a memorandum of agreement with the board, and it should of been honored, instead of negoiating in bad faith. Settle this mess Now!!!!!
settle the contract. negotiate in good faith
all we ever hear is lower the taxes, i don’t believe that people are genuinely concerned with the education of our children.
