VIDEO: Lakewood’s Township Manager Steven Reinman accepted Moe Rabi’s nomination for the Ice Bucket Challenge, getting a bucket of ice water dumped on him for ALS disease awareness.
The challenge was accepted by officials and celebrities nation-wide over the last couple of weeks, and raises money for ALS research.
Before taking the challenge, Reinman called out several other Township officials – including Tax Assessor Ed Seiger, Police Captains Greg Meyer and Captain Tommy Langenberger, and Carl Block, the County Administrator.

Steve is kewl.
I agree! keep this going!!
Let me get this straight, people waste water, (and everyone’s time) to avoid giving money to charity…
This whole ice-bucket-challenge is just so skewed.
I CEe this as a waste of time….
They still have to donate $ 10
Compared to last year, this “waste of time” has already raised $22.9 million, that’s 12 times what the ALS association was able to raise last year. Even for those who turn up their nose at the challenge, like Kop Head, it still brings attention to a terrifying, incurable, painful disease that kills thousands. This money will not only go towards research but to direct support of patients and their families and caregivers.
So, Kop head it seems to me you are the one with a skewed point of view….
Maybe if one of the negitive commenters had a loved one affected by ALS you would think differently about it !! This is not a waste of time and is raising millions to cure ALS !!
it isnt $10 its $100 that you have to donate if you dont do it .
