Jackson Mayor Mike Reina this evening recognized Hatzolah of Central Jersey for their service to Jackson, noting how they have already responded to over 800 calls in the Township in the past 12 months.
The Mayor’s statements were read by the Business Administrator, as the Mayor was unable to attend.
The council also introduced an ordinance which would provide Hatzolah CJ and other EMS providers and volunteer organizations with certain incentives.
Ahhhhh….. A political solution to that “pesky” Jackson Hatzolah. CJ gets the political nod despite long response times (relative to other areas), and any other initiative to improve services will be swatted down. Awesome job CJ!!
do you even live in Jackson and do you have any hard data on the “long” response times or are you just parroting what other ppl made up to push their agenda?
Where’s the most important part of the video?
A Hatoloh Central NJ member, David Werner, explained that he moved to Jackson from New York three years ago. He applied for an open EMT position with the township via the online email application, submitting his resume of 25 years and still active.
He never received a simple acknowledgement of his submission, not even a simple automatic “no-reply” “thank you for submitting, we will review your application and get back to you.” This could easily be implemented by the simplest one line code by the most inexperienced programmer.
As he expressed his frustration about the township never responding to his inquiries, the board just silently sat there like cardboard characters, failing to answer such a simple and reasonable question.
Reina finally spoke up, offering the lame disingenous reply, that they receive so many applications that its impossible to respond to each one.
I’m not construing to say that this is a cas of anti-semitism, but you could see the members clear discomfort with Werner’s testimony. Werner explained that Halzoloh responds to all calls from people of all faiths and not just the Jewish community. He cited examples of their thankless work in Jackson for non-jews alike.
As he left the podium, off stage, appearing as an afterthought, Reina called him back to the podium to thank him for his service encouraging to apply next time. This speaks for itself.
A Jersey Shore Hatzalah with 20 years of experience moved to Jackson two years ago and applied to join CJ and also hasn’t received any response to his application. Perhaps CJ also needs that line of code…
what does cj mean
cj stands for Central Jersey
thank you Hatzalah of cj for your lifesaving work.
CJ = Central Jersey
