VIDEO: A Lakewood Hatzolah member responding to a crash involving an overturned vehicle, himself was involved in an accident, also flipping his vehicle.
The approximately 10-year volunteer member, and member of the extrication team was responding to an overturn accident on Lanes Mill Road at around 1 AM, when he reportedly hit a patch of black ice. His vehicle slid into the nearby trees and overturned.
The member, unharmed, told TLS he was able to climb out of the vehicle from the passenger door.
The driver of the other overturned vehicle was not seriously injured, officials say.
Roads were extremely icy last night, and have been once again the cause of multiple accidents and spin-outs.

Why is there a picture of a Hatzolah member smiling/joking around with an overturned vehicle in the background? Is it about helping people or about socially hanging out on a call? Any accident isn’t something to smile about.
^ It’s the driver of the vehicle who is happy and appreciative of the miracle that he emerged without injury.
oh i assumed that the man smiling was the man whose vehicle had overturned…and he’s smiling next to the scene that he miraculously escaped from.
this maiseh is no laughing matter……
If the man smiling is the cars driver, why is he wearing a Hatzolah emblem on his jacket??

Debi did you not read the article. It clearly says that the Hatzolah member was responding to a call when he hit a patch of black ice! That would explain why he was wearing a Hatzolah Jacket because he is a Hatzolah member!
Wow! Thank you Hatzolah for always endangering your lives to safe others!
DEBi: c’mon!! You kidding me? Read the article before you judge and comment, then you wont look so foolish.
This is for all those who are very quick to blame people in accidents before they even know if the guy did anything wrong.
Here you see that accidents happen even to the best of us.
Lets not judge people. The world would be a better place:)
Thank you Hatzolah for venturing out on a dangerous night to help others.
