Firefighters in Lakewood battled a kitchen fire in a home on David’s Court near Route 70 on Wednesday afternoon.
Volunteer firefighters initially responded to a reported oven fire, but when they arrived on scene, they found the kitchen fully involved.
Watch as they enter the home through heavy black smoke to locate and extinguish the blaze.
The resident was treated for smoke inhalation.

Thank you to our firefighters! Pretty busy yesterday. I must say that’s insane footage! Fast work, Engine 2! Now people know why for every single call the fire dept treats it urgently. It might be reported as something small such as an oven fire, but can easily turn out to be a structure fire.
