VIDEO & PHOTOS: County, Local Officials Endorse Lonegan for U.S. Senate

VIDEO: Congressman Chris Smith, Senator Robert Singer, Committeeman Menashe Miller and other distinguished Republicans from Ocean County today endorsed Steven Lonegan for U.S. Senate.

The announcement was made on the steps of the County Courthouse in Toms River.

Lonegan will be facing Democratic opponent Cory Booker on October 16 in the race for the seat vacated by the late Senator Lautenberg.

The term will be just 15 months – the time left for Lautenberg’s seat – after which a new election will be held.

  1. I don’t want vouchers.

Like all other government programs it will make tuition unaffordable for those who are looking to make a HONEST living.(I already have bad experience with he lunch programs).

Worse: Ultimately after the Yeshivos will be dependent on government
support the government will start attaching conditions to the vouchers that will be antithetical to Torah interests

  2. HUD has driven rent prices up.

WIC has driven mil & egg prices up. (why are medium eggs more expensive than Large? Becuase that’s what WIC pays for. You get the picture.)

Vouchers will just drive up the price for tuitions.

  3. The nickel and dimeing will still cause tuition to be outrageous for those who PAY.Officially my tuition bill is $5,500 but I’m nickel and dimed to over $7,000.

To give one immediate impact of vouchers:The Single Audit Act requires any entity receiving more then a $500,000 a year from the federal government to undergo a yearly rigorous audit. Most schools accepting vouchers and lunch programs will fall into that range. That is just the beginning of the government sticking their noses in.It won’t stop there.
