UPDATED: Vehicle Left Running Stolen from Shul

UPDATED: A vehicle left running was stolen from the Coventry Shul this evening, as earlier reported on our News Alerts. Police and LCSW are out looking for the vehicle, which Police say was left running with the keys in the ignition.

Police tell TLS the vehicle stolen was a Mazda MP2, with License Plate numbers of R79-AAV.

Anyone with information is asked to call Police at 732-363-0200.

UPDATE 1:25 PM Monday. As reported on our News Alerts, the vehicle was recovered, after a resident spotted it on Tower Street.

  1. uh uh uh. i don’t feel bad for the guy. what is a person thinking leaving a car running just to go inside a place even for “a minute”? i used to drive a number of years ago and never did that.
    what i do hope for this guy is that they find his car and that he learnt his lesson.

  2. With the criminal element in Lakewood , it was a poor choice, but no one is perfect , so give the owner a break. Was it his fault, or the fault of the thief? The thief !!!!!!!
