UPDATED: Woman barricaded at Rt. 9 motel prompts SWAT response (PHOTOS)

A woman barricaded herself inside the motel on Route 9, prompting the response of the SWAT team, police said.

Lieutenant Finnegan could not provide details as to what prompted the barricading, but said the situation was resolved.

A woman was seen taken into custody.

Over a dozen officers, along with Lakewood’s SWAT team responded with guns drawn around 4:30 PM, shutting down part of Route 9.
