UPDATE: Amudim and Chaim V’Chessed Join Forces to Resolve Passport Issue For Families in Eretz Yisroel

Earlier this week, TLS reported about the issue many US families are facing with passports, whcih could prevent families from returning for Pesach.

Amudim and Chaim V’Chessed have just released the following statement:

“Amudim and Chaim V’Chessed are working intensely to resolve this issue. We have jointly launched a webpage to gather information directly from the families affected by this situation. If you have been prevented from receiving travel documents to travel to the US, please submit your information on this page in a timely manner:

https://amudim.org/usc/

This will allow Amudim and Chaim V’Chessed to present actual data to the relevant agencies, in the hopes that a solution can be found quickly.”

  1. What gets me is that we have forgotten what is normal if you live in a democratic country. The ability to travel should not be dependent on an “emergency”. The patronizing official put down “showing the new baby to the family in America is not an emergency” is disgusting and should be irrelevant.
We are on a slippery slope.
    והמים יבין.
