UPDATE: $5,000 cash reward for Stolen Sefer Torah expires in 2 weeks

Stolen sefer torah The $5,000 cash reward for the Sefer Torah stolen from a Lakewood Yeshivah will expire in two weeks from today.

The Sefer Torah was stolen from Cheder Toras Zev two weeks ago, but all leads have turned up with negative results.

The reward offer will expire on February 26, 2017.

The Sefer Torah can be returned to the school building, or be brought to Police Headquarters, located at 231 3rd Street, Lakewood. Information can be called in to the LPD at 732-363-0200, as well as to LCSW at 732-367-1212.

The $5,000 will be rewarded immediately.

  1. I hope that the thieves had not yet חס ושלום disposed of it to erase evidence ; and I don’t think that the thieves or thieves friends or relatives read TLS.
    Reward Signs should be posted at bars, taco & other fast food restaurants, day laborer pick up areas etc. but anyone other than an angry or selfish friend or relative will turn it in which may lead to get the thieves 5 years or deportation.
    So there must be an assurance stating no prosecution, no questions asked. but probably law enforcement will never allow that.
