Two people were charged in Lakewood after allegedly pointing airsoft guns at another motorist, police confirm to TLS.
At about 11 PM on Thursday evening, Lakewood Police received a call from Brick Police Department in reference to at least one occupant of a vehicle who brandished a weapon at another motorist.
A short time later, the vehicle – occupied by four people – was spotted on Squankum Road in Lakewood.
With guns drawn, multiple police officers stopped the vehicle and ordered them out of their vehicle.
Inside the vehicle in plain view, were two airsoft weapons – a replica pistol and replica submachine gun, police said. The guns had orange tips.
The four, juvenile and teens, were arrested and transported to Lakewood Police headquarters. Two were charge with Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, police said.
