The words “Trump = Bomb” prompted an evacuation at the Georgian Court University today, police say.
“At approximately 10:52 am, we we alerted that someone had written the words “Trump = Bomb” in a bathroom located in the Maria Hall dormitory on the Georgian Court University campus,” Detective Liutenant Greg Staffordsmith said.
As a result numerous patrol and detective personnel responded to the scene and assisted campus security with the evacuation of the hall. K-9 units from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department then conducted a full sweep and determined that the building was safe.
“The students were displaced for less than two hours and allowed to return to their rooms at approximately 12:50 this afternoon,” Staffordsmith said.
“At this time the investigation is on going to determine who authored the perceived threat which caused a false public alarm.”
