Enhancements aimed at improving traffic flow along Pine Street are now underway following the allocation of a 2026 Department of Transportation grant.
Officials tell TLS the upgrades are designed to address congestion along the busy corridor, which is heavily traveled by commuters heading to and from the Cedarbridge Corporate Park.
Work currently in progress includes the addition of enhanced turning lanes into the corporate park, along with extended stacking lanes to better accommodate turning vehicles. A dedicated turn lane onto Washington Street is also being constructed as part of the project.
The improvements are expected to ease traffic backups and improve overall safety for motorists traveling through the area.

what? they were supposed to widen pine st!!! they are just sticking in curbs, and in some areas removing the sandy area that cars would use to pass around other cars that stopped to make turns, its a shanda!!! they are wasting money and accomplishing zero, other then making more traffic!!
Just open vine between pine and spruce it’ll will solve the whole washington debacle. Or at least until green st. Add a light at that intersection and then make Washington/Pine right turn only.
Or install a traffic light at pine/Washington intersection
why aren’t they widening pine st?? i see that making side walks in the area they were supposed to widen?
Many of the comments that people post to the Mayor’s responses are really good and have excellent points. I really wonder if the Mayor looks at these comments. And if he does, i wish he would give us his answers.
just on this question alone, so many good questions and points were made. Will the Mayor answers these points/questions?
this wasn’t a letter to the mayor, it stated they are improving traffic , and its a blatant lie and waist of funds!!!
“Waist of funds” LOL
Better have a good belt for that waist of funds.
