Due to emergency repairs, beginning at 9:30 a.m., Route 88 in Lakewood will be shut westbound at Park Avenue, and eastbound will be open.
A detour via 2nd Street is in place.
The road closure is expected to last all day.

Just curious what the emergency is. Maybe I’m cynical but somehow I get the feeling that some people have different definitions of emergency. Anyone agree??
