Township Committee Bids Farewell To Retired DPW Employee

VIDEO: At the last Township Committee meeting, the Committee bid farewell to Township Employee George Ramos, who retired from the Department of Public Works after 22 years of service.

The Mayor, flanked by the liaison to the DPW, Committeeman Ray Coles and Director of the DPW Al Burdge, presented Ramos with a plaque thanking him for his dedication to the town and wished him much continued success.

Ramos began working for the Department in 1989, and plans to retire in Peurto Rico.

  1. 22 years at DPW…. how did you survive? I am so glad to see that the public sees how many years people have worked in Lakewood the way it was…… thank you jorge for your dedication.

  3. great to see them honor DPW’s employee’s when they retire,,but I don’t remember the Committee doing anything for the police or first aiders who retire

  4. that’s because LPD has a walk out with a multiple vehicle escort parade. I don’t recall anything for exiting EMS and that;s not right.
