Klal Yisroel one year ago tonight lost a giant, with the Petirah of Reb Yankie Meyer Zatzal, one of the biggest Askonim of today’s generation, and the founder of Misaskim.
Reb Yankie Zatzal was there for every yid at every hour of the day and night, at any given moment, at every corner of the globe. There was no project too small or two big for him to undertake.
Misaskim was a name synonymous with Chesed. When you heard the name, you knew the project, event, or operation was a done deal. Yankie Zatzal got the job done – nothing got in his way.
Project Yedid is another one of Misaskim’s oragnizations, which has brought smiles to thousands of Yesomim, and continues to do so until today.
Misaskim of Central Jersey alone is comprised of close to 100 members, responding to scenes and calls of Kavod Hameis all over New Jersey.
Though Yankie’s days of his life were short, his life in his days continues to shine as his legacy lives on.
The Yahrtzeit will be marked by family and members at private events.
