Toms River Residents Wake Up to Armed Robbers in their Bedroom

Authorities are investigating after a Toms River couple woke up to armed robbers inside their bedroom.

The incident unfolded approximately 5:00 AM this morning in the Walden Woods neighborhood, when the couple woke to noises inside their home.

Moments later, three men, at least one armed with a gun, came into the master bedroom, demanding cash.

The homeowners screamed and the armed robbers fled.

They did make off with several hundred dollars of cash, which they located inside one of the drawers.

It appears that the robbers made entry via a back window.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Toms River Police Department.

The mayor was right, it’s time to get rid of lazy bosses and put boots on the ground, I moved to Toms River when it was a safe Town, Unfortunately we lost faith in our police department, Time for a new Chief or our own patrol

There are no “boots” being put on the ground. Get off your knees and wake up to what’s happening around you.

Its civilian patrol is the answer.

I already am. But now we need to watch out. Saturday morning DOJ announced the launch of a “nationwide Red Flag” initiative”. A way to confiscate our legal guns. It was approved in the bill that was signed last week to “keep the hovernment open”. 😡

The men and woman of the Toms River police are professional, courteous, and super nice.

Not to be your grammar teacher but you’re implying that the TRPD has only one woman on its force. Women is the plural for woman.

The cops can’t possibly be everywhere at once, it’s not their fault, they need to incorporate a civilian patrol to work hand-in-hand with the police department!

Agreed. And each household should have a permit for a gun, not to carry, but to keep safely in their home. If anyone broke into my house, day or night, l’d be dead and only God would know who was responsible.
Of course all would be vetted before approving licence.

What does a gun help in a situation like this?

They’re in your bedroom and wakeup with a gun at your head?

What’s you play?

First mistake someone could make is blame the police, by doing that it’s an obstacle for their response in future emergencies.
We need to encourage them not the other way, and if anyone does get a licensed gun it requires lots of training for different scenarios.

Would have been a sad day for the families of these burglars had they come into my house. I hope they know alot of homeowners are packing and i dont mean suitcases.

The counter argument to that is because this homeowner did not have gone bh nothing happened. Who knows cv what would happen if someone would try to pull out a gun.

most people would pull out a gun to any stranger and they knew it and were probably armed and ready to fire at the homeowner, why does the homeowner need to be the innocent fool?

Because the innocent fool, and his family, are now alive.

Pulling out a gun could have meant serious injury or death for someone.

in this case it would have meant end of the road for the burglars and the next group would have thought twice before trying

If you don’t own a gun you’re putting yourself and your family at risk. Police can’t be everywhere.

If you own a gun, you are putting yourself, your family, and many others, at risk.

Owning a gun may be the American thing to do. It is still dangerous and stupid, especially if you have a large family in a relatively small space.

There are about the same number of suicides as motor vehicle deaths in this country. For those of the latter, especially for men, they carry out their death using a gun.

Curious why so many are advocating for guns?

According to almost all security consultants, dogs are far more effective and much safer option.

1. The presence of a dog will usually deter a burglar before they break in or as soon as the enter.

2. A dog will alert the homeowners to any suspicious activity immediately.

3. A dog will fend off attackers and protect their owners while the owner can find safe haven and not engage the attackers directly.

It’s time to change gun laws in NJ, shoot them, then call the Police. Right now you go to jail get sued by the criminals family if you school a criminal and they know it .Dems want you to unprotected! Vote red in November!

When they’re in your bedroom pointing a gun at your head, as in this case, your gun is worthless.

But a dog would have stopped them at the door.

This is a safe town, The Police are very competent and do their job. You can never say never that something won’t happen like that to you. We have guns but more than that a 140 lb dog who barks at leaves never mind someone at a window or door. Also an alarm system with police activation Just in case I miss!

5 layers of protection!
1.Motion sensor lights around your home
2.Alarm System
3.Large Nasty Dog
4.Gun loaded on nightstand!
5.Vote Republican, Dems intent on destroying this country!
