PHOTOS: With approximately 75 people in attendance, TOMA’s free real estate workshop had a packed audience, all participants having come to learn more about the home buying process. The crowd sat attentively until the very end, after which many participants took advantage of the opportunity to speak to the real estate professionals on hand and receive advice pertaining to their specific situations.
“I really didn’t expect to learn so much!” one participant told TOMA. “The workshop turned the conceptual into a clear reality.”
“I expected that a lot of the course would end up being a sales pitch for the lecturers,” another participant said. “But it wasn’t like that at all. They were really just there to give us information and help educate us about the home buying process.”
The workshop began with the first half of a Power Point presentation by Mr. Yehuda Ungar of TOMA. Mr. Ungar who has a corporate background giving professional presentations ran through general topics relating to real estate, showing the participants why now is a good time to buy, how Lakewood’s growth affects real estate, pricing, and many other general real estate topics.
Attorney Mark Stern then spoke about some of the legal aspects involved in buying a home and about the importance of having an attorney involved to represent you.
Rabbi Heshy Weiss of H. Weiss Home Solutions then spoke about his home coaching service and how it helps buyers understand what’s important and what’s not in the buying process. Mr. Weiss dispelled some preconceived notions that participants had about mold issues!
Mr. Ungar then delivered the second part of his presentation. This portion went through more in-depth details, including walking participants step by step through a sample transaction and the timeline of each step, giving everyone a distinct picture of the variable factors involved in buying a home.
Once the official presentation and speakers portion of the evening was over, all attendees had the opportunity to consult with the real estate professionals including TOMA’s professional team of agents regarding their specific situations. They received much valuable advice at no charge.
