child strk 2VIDEO: A toddler is in critical condition this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle, officials confirm to TLS.

child strk 3The girl, said to be two years old, was struck around 2 p.m. inside the Forest Park development. Circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear, but preliminary reports indicate a car backed up over the child.

Multiple Hatzolah BLS members and Paramedics are on scene treating the child.

Lakewood’s Traffic & Safety division, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and CSI are responding to the scene for the investigation.

  2. This is most tragic news I hear. My Heart goes for the family and I am sorry for their lost of great daughter. I want everyone in Lakewood to be more careful on their driving and look before you back up. I don’t care what hurry you are in. Please let be more careful on this tragic. We must not allowed this happen in Lakewood, NJ

  3. Why cant u asked if everyone can said a prayer for the family . Everyone in Lakewood doesnt speak Hebrew or Yiddish. God answers all prayers.
