Lieutenant Meyer, you are the BEST! Words cannot convey my admiration for you after reading how you remained active at the scene until all your men were safe and being treated and the shooter neautralized. You truly are amazing and we are fortunate to have men like you in the Lakewood Police Department. You have and always will be beloved by all of Lakewood. I wish you a quick recovery. Our prayers are with you and the other officers. May you all get well real soon.

I was extremely disturbed when I heard of the shooting. I remember when you Lou, and Lenny were rookies. I retired before Jonathan was hired but now feel as If I know him personally also. I wish you guys the best in the future and a speedy recovery for all.
