I never understood the mosdos backing this man and after hearing most of what he has to say on this subject i am more convinced that it’s a mistake to back him or have any ‘faith’ in him – he will not vote against the deal – wake up and smell the coffee!!
I listened to the call & it was very obvious to me that he plans to support President Obama & he is just trying to show us that he is “sensitive” to our concerns. He is a nice guy & helpful on many issues however it sounds like he won’t help us on this issue.
I agree with Yitz..he will tow the party line..he’s been called out to the woodshed before for disagreeing with Obama. He’s going to support this abomination of a deal..even though he recognizes the negatives of this deal..it’s not about a common-sense decision …it’s about going along with Obama, Kerry…and ” group-think”. Not an ounce of courage among them.
Be sure to call, write your Congressmen and Sen. Booker to voice your opinion. Sen Booker is obviously very conflicted about this decision. He may be hedging himself by telling everyone how much he loves, supports, etc Israel, that by supporting agreement he won’t let that get in the way of his continued support for Israel. He collects lots of Jewish donor money – that is what makes this very tough for him. We should also write Sen Menendez to thank him for his very well thought out decision to reject!
It’s about doing what right…eventhough not popular. I am impressed with Shumar..and the others that stand up for what’s right!
Thank you Sen. Mendentz for doing the right thing. Let’s hope that Cory booker will follow.
