Father watching kids on Sunday

Any way that you could post such events before they happen?

I would’ve loved to take my kids to see it.

Thanks.

Ya same here, I’m so disapointed that I didn’t know about it. Where was it advertised?

Reply to #1,#2: I commend TLS for not posting events that are not ‘oisgehalten’ on the heimishe standards of the Ihr Hatorah of Lakewood. If you read the non-kosher papers- I am sure you will note a lot of non-kosher events that take place on a steady basis around the area. I think there should be at least one media outlet we can trust!

So why post it afterwards?

Might this encourage some to read “the non-kosher papers”?

Be happyyou didn’t see it advertised. The papers said it would be open until 6pm but they stopped letting people in at 2:45. I drove the 45 minutes there with my kids and they didn’t get to see anything, oisgehalten or otherwise.

Right it’s sooo goyish to go out and support the men and women (who allow you to have the wonderful right’s and privilege’s you have in this country) who took the day away for their family’s on Mothers Day no less. Yeah that’s goyish.

Maybe you shouldn’t ever leave Lakewood so you can avoid the not tznis people while your at it.

To those that were asking: it was advertised in the Asbury Park Press for weeks..and on the news channels..as well they started advertising in late March for the event after they had all their plans in order..It was a great day..for Moms and Families alike..

I was there and it was a very special event. The children and grandchildren all had a great time. There was a huge open expanse of sky on the airfield with very few clouds and the day was gorgeous for an air show. The display of aircraft in the sky and on the ground was spectacular. The children really enjoyed going into the planes. These are just like the planes we see passing over our houses every day , now we know what they look like inside. Even during the loud parts of the show when the planes really sped by, there was someone giving out ear pieces to block the sound. It was a great event and lots of frum people sat close around us with their families. We all loved it.

TLS I don’t really care which side you are on but please be consistent – if it is good enough to post after the fact then you can post earlier to let us know about it. If you feel it shouldn’t be posted then there is no reason for posting after the fact.

Just Curious...

Yeah Why not? I also think that TLS should definitly post EVERYTHING before the fact! We may not see ANY crime in Lakewood anymore!! (Hence, not have what to write about…)
Like all those drunk drivers before they hit anything/one or all those other exciting things those criminals out there are about to do!
Cummon! Are you naarish or just haakin’??

On a positive note a Major came over to me today at staff meeting and told me how thrilled he was to see so many “Hassidic” jews at the Air Show on Sunday. He pointed out to me that there weren’t any on Saturday and he knew that it was because of the Sabbath. He said that he spoke to many of them and what a favorable impression they made on him. What a Kiddush Hashem!
