Thousands of dollars were stolen from a Lakewood home – and apparently while the family was home – police confirm to TLS.
Police responded Tuesday to the Forest Avenue area home, where the homeowner stated someone had managed to enter his home some time overnight Monday.
The homeowner believes all the doors and windows were locked, however, there was no sign of forced entry into the home.
“People were home – it was a neat job,” the homeowner told TLS.
The burglar made off with thousands of dollars in cash and checks.
“People should keep doors locked at all times,” the victim said.
The incident is under investigation.

howd the guy know WHERE to find the cash and checks, without ransacking the place??? Such a neat job? Was it an inside job?? A cleaning lady maybe?
