The Toms River Police Department is investigating a burglary, theft and criminal mischief from two commercial businesses overnight: Breakin Bread Eatery (1177 Fischer Boulevard) and New York Water Bagel (542 Fischer Boulevard).

During the overnight hours from April 16th into April 17th, unknown suspect(s) smashed the front window of Breakin Bread with a brick and removed a safe containing cash. The front window of New York Water Bagel was also smashed with a paver brick overnight. An amount of cash was stolen from inside that store.
