The Gourmet Kitchen: Make Our Kitchen Your Kitchen

image[COMMUNICATED] What’s the best thing since sliced bread? Of course, that would have to be sliced standing rib roast and all of the other delectable sliced, juicy meats found at the Gourmet Kitchen, Gourmet Glatt of Lakewood’s new deli and takeout department. Under the new management of Nosson Schultz, one of the most sought after high-end event caterers in Lakewood, the Gourmet Kitchen is bringing quality gourmet prepared food to the neighborhood.

Schultz is taking gourmet to a whole new level by bringing the quality and expertise of upscale events and making it readily available
to everyone for their dinner and Shabbos tables. Yes, now you can have a gourmet experience in your own kitchen without the mess or hassle.

Schultz’s catering career began when he was only 12 years old, in summer camp of all places, when a friend of his family and director
of camp gave him a job in the kitchen.
Schultz explains that he always enjoyed cooking and plating, and the design and creativity that’s involved in cooking. From a young age he was constantly experimenting in the kitchen; his mother, not wanting to stunt the development of her little prodigy, always allowed him to be creative.

From there, Schultz worked in multiple camps as a cook and a baker, and throughout high school worked with several different caterers.
In Yeshiva in Waterbury, Connecticut at age 21, Schultz started his own catering business, which prospered until his move to Lakewood. Now with a successful catering career under his belt, Schultz opens his own gourmet takeout department at the largest kosher
supermarket. Schultz’s years of experience are evident, as is his knowledge of all walks of clientele; from heimish to high-end catering, to gluten free and sugar free for the health conscious, to salt free dishes for seniors.

The mission of The Gourmet Kitchen is to give people the culinary experience they crave, while maintaining the comfort of homestyle
cooking. The Gourmet Kitchen is elevating the classics, and taking traditional style cuisine further than ever before. Schultz has his finger on the pulse of the most up to date, popular trends and is able to adapt them for the kosher market. The variety of his menu includes the usual items that people expect from a Shabbos takeout, while still being adventurous enough to satisfy the foodies among us. Schultz has a way of elevating every dish whether it is kugel, turkey, prime rib, duck, or lamb.

His passion and imagination are what really set Schultz apart. When asked what he loves about cooking, he responded: “Getting to use
my imagination to create something delicious, visually pleasing and that makes people happy is the reason I do what I do. I love that the possibilities are endless.”
