[COMMUNICATED] Growing up, Malka had no idea that she wasn’t halachically Jewish. In 2009, she came on Birthright and found all the truth & depth she had been searching for. It was then and there that she decided to fulfill her destiny: To become fully Jewish.
Today she lives in Kiryat Sefer with her small children. However once again her family is not typical: She is a divorced single mother, raising three kids on her own. Working to the best of her ability to support them, the truth is that they are still quite poor.
Recently came the good news: She is once again engaged to be married, to a ger tzedek. This is their chance to start a new life.
However they have been faced with some painful questions: How can they afford a wedding and the essentials involved? How will they make sure the kids have what they need?
Both the bride & groom’s families are not involved, financially or otherwise. In fact, most of Malka’s won’t even be attending the wedding.
