    • Where is your sensitivity. Are you a prophet? How do you know that they were not going 25 miles an hour but due to the slick road conditions they had to avoid an object in the road and that caused them to veer off. I don’t know either, but neither do you. Let’s keep our insensitive comments to ourselves especially until all the facts are known. And even after that I think it’s better to keep comments to ourselves

  1. To SB:

Nah. Instead of the inept drivers doing 15 mph over the speed limit they’d be doing 30 mph over the speed limit.

Here’s an idea for the next Asifa:

Let’s call it אלה ברכב and impress upon people the importance of driving; save the body from physical harm, save the soul from chilul Hashem.

May the boys have a speedy recovery!

  2. Why do people insist on making assumptions and giving mussar right after an accident when people are worried about the injured??
I know no details about the accident, but I happen to know that block is sorely missing lights.

  3. Drake is a very windey, bumpy and dark road. It’s not easy to drive it late at night, although during the day and for someone who knows the road it’s fine. It says in the story they were from out of the country, they were probably just following waze and unfamiliar with the street. While Lakewood drivers can in general use improvement, this is not the time or place to bring that up.
May those involved experience a complete refuah.

  4. Of course we all care about the injured. We wish them a speedy recovery. We alao care about what causes these accidents. Just look at the pictures. Those damages don’t happen at 25mph. Of course they were speeding. BH no pedestrians were there to get killed.

  5. I drive on that street a lot. If you don’t know the street the turns can be very dangerous even if not driving so fast plus it was raining. Need more street lights in Lakewood. And yes maybe we need an Asifa about driving.

  6. Safety driving is very important, so is wearing seatbelts (all passengers), but to limit to 25mph is ludicrous (why not lower it to 10mph, isn’t that safer?, why not lower the highway speed to 25mph as well, why not? A accident at 25 is a lot less destructive than a accident at 65mph, no?)

A driver should have the common sense to drive safely. Some twisted roads 15mph is the safe responsible speed and some non twisted roads 45mph is equally the safe responsible speed.

These kids should have a Refuah Shleima and Hashem should watch us all, we shouldn’t get into accidents and not cause accidents

  7. All the injured should have a speedy recovery.
It appears to me that wearing seat belts in the back seat is equally important like the front passengers.
Many people think that I am sitting in the back, I will be fine.

  8. why is not anyone talking about seatbelts? notice how the front passengers are ok but the back passenger is not ok and was partially ejected from the car.
Everyone needs to wear a seatbelt in the backseat of the care no matter his age. You are not safe just because you are sitting in the back
