A child is being hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries after being struck by a school bus in Lakewood.
The accident happened shortly before 1:00 PM.
The boy, 10, was leaving a car in a development when he apparently ran in front of the bus, officials told TLS.
The child was treated by Hatzolah paramedics and transported to Jersey Shore University, Medical Center for treatment. He suffered severe leg injuries.
The Lakewood Police Department traffic safety unit is investigating the accident.
So what’s the name for Tehilim ?
Children should not have to cross in front of the bus. With a better system, they can be dropped off on the correct side of the street.
This is especially true on busier roads. How many crazy “almosts” do we need to see before making this necessary change?
You’re right.
now read the story again.
they updated the story. My comment still holds true
No it doesn’t, he wasn’t crossing for the bus. Your comment does not hold true.
I wish kids were being taught to look both ways before running across the street. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen children almost be seriously hurt. It breaks my heart. Sending all the prayers to this little boy for a fast recovery and his family, I can’t imagine what they must be going through.
Of course he was taught to look both ways, kids don’t always remember to do what they were taught!! Same for grown ups.
