TEHILLIM: Child in Critical Condition After Choking on Park Equipment in Lakewood; Refoel Moshe Michoel ben Shoshana Roiza [UPDATED TUESDAY]

A child was hospitalized with critical injuries after being choked by park equipment at a park in Lakewood today, TLS has learned.

According to preliminary information TLS received from an official, the six-year-old child was playing at the park at approximately 7:30 PM, when the incident  occurred.

An official says the child was wearing a helmet when it appears to have gotten caught in the park equipment, choking him.

The child was found unconscious, prompting a large response from Hatzolah paramedics.

The child was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with paramedics onboard. He is in critical condition.

The Lakewood Police Department and CSI are investigating the incident.

All are asked to be Mispallel for רפאל משה מיכאל בן שושנה רויזא – Refoel Moshe Michoel ben Shoshana Roiza.

UPDATE TUESDAY: TLS this morning spoke with family who says the boy is B”H in stable condition this morning and doctors are seeing very positive signs. All are asked to continue to be Mispallel.

    The correct term is strangled, which refers to pressure applied to throat from the outside, whereas choking refers to a blockage inside the throat.

  2. Thank you for the update and please continue to do so. An innocent little boy. Wasn’t able to hold back the tears by רפאינו.

  3. My prayers go out to the young boy and his family for a speedy and full recovery. Just glad there were older kids who knew what to do and saved his life. Their parents should be very proud of them.
