Teen Hospitalized after Near-Drowning in Lakewood Pool

A teen is in serious condition this afternoon after a near-drowning in a Lakewood pool, officials confirm.

It’s unknown what caused the approximately 14-year-old teen to get stuck under the water around 2:30 PM, but officials say he lost consciousness.

Lifeguards immediately pulled the teen from the pool and began performing CPR until Hatzolah Paramedics arrived for further treatment.

The teen was transported to MMCSC in serious but “semi-stable condition,” officials said.
