The Jackson School District will have a two-hour delayed opening on Friday as they hold a coronavirus preparation meeting.

“We do realize calling for a delayed opening causes a hardship for our families,” the District wrote. “However, this is necessary in order to ensure we are fully prepared with our response and Home Instruction Plans. We are taking a few hours to make sure every member of our staff is ready and able to handle whatever may come our way.”

The delay will affect busing for all students, including those bused to Lakewood – as there will be no morning busing, but there will be afternoon busing.
