A woman arrested on drug offenses in Lakewood today reportedly attempted to strangle herself using the patrol’s car seat-belt.

The woman was arrested this morning while police executed a warrant, police say, and was placed inside a patrol car to be transported to police headquarters for booking.

That’s when the woman allegedly attempted to strangle herself with the seat-belt.

The officer immediately pulled over to the side of the road, and called for backup.

The woman was then transported to the hospital in custody.
