SURVEILLANCE VIDEO: Motorcyclist Seriously injured In Crash On River Ave [VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED]

Surveillance video obtained by TLS shows the moment a motorcyclist was seriously injured last week in a crash on River Avenue in Lakewood.

The chain of events happened when an accident occurred just in front of the motorcyclist heading down River Avenue, causing him to strike one of the vehicles.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

He has since been released and is continuing to recover.

Well, I certainly wouldn’t say that to the victim personally – certainly not while he’s in pain, but this is a news site where many people are reading, and it is important to capture the moment and bring across certain messages. Let this be another reminder to parents and educators to educate against motorcycles. Cars are serious enough, but motorcycles are much more dangerous.

And BTW, at least the victim landed on his feet. Had he landed on his head, it probably would have been much worse. May God help him recover fully and soon.

It wasn’t even the motorcycle’s fault!
It was the idiot that ran the stop sign, and pulled out in front of the other car.
So please keep your ignorant motorcycle comments to yourself.

What does it have to do with whose fault it is??
The point is that if the guy would have been in a car instead of a donorcycle he probably wouldn’t have gotten so injured.
Those things are downright dangerous…

It is extremely important who was at fault, far too many people that have no business behind the wheel.
May the motorcyclist make a complete recovery…and sue the reckless driver for the highest limit allowable.

Classic lakewood illegal left-turn…Hope he loses his license, and gives his house to the motorcyclist

No. White middle class homeowners already have to give their homes over to black folks as part of the reparations package.

I don’t know if he ran a stop sign per se’. It looks like he was stopped – albeit sticking halfway out into the road, then it seems he thought he can get ahead of the oncoming car – which was queer, as it was going pretty quick. Did he think there was a second lane? Is there?

“so please leave your ignorant motorcycle comments to yourself.” acually per the NHTSA, mile for mile a motorcyclist is about 28 times as likely to die in a crash as an occupant of a passenger car. And put another way if 2 people traveled the same number of miles the motorcycle has a 2700% chance higher of being killed. so maybe keep your ignorant brain to yourself

t has nothing to do with sheitels! The men who drive while wearing a hat, covering most of their brains… Put your hat on the seat, so you can actually focus on your driving!

They’ll obviously investigate and make a report. But we must all take out a lesson. As one speaker says that one should rather lose a few seconds of his life than lose his life in a few seconds! (or cause someone else harm)

Most people drive well; these types of things are rarities compared to the number of vehicles and number of trips made on Lakewood roads each day (probably over 20K vehicles, each making multiple trips). Still, indeed, people must learn to drive safer AND TAKE AN EXTRA MOMENT TO SAVE FROM MANY PROBLEMS!!!
