This Sunday, Yud Gimmel Sivan, will mark the first Yahrtzeit of R’ Bruce Goldner Z’L. Bruce would go to Simcha after Simcha trying to collect much needed money for Almanos and Yesomim of Lakewood. Even during his illness, Bruce wouldn’t give up on his mission, and did whatever he could – despite his own discomfort, to make the lives of Almanos more comfortable.
There has been a Tzedakah fund created to carry on the legacy of R’ Bruce’s Tzedaka collecting, called Yad Boruch. Pushkas can be found at the South Side Sandwich Shop, as well as Kosher Village and other shops. The money collected goes directly to the needy Lakewood Almanos.
This Sunday, his son, Avi Goldner, will be hosting a parlor meeting at his home in honor of the Yahrtzeit. The reception will take place at 14 Williams Street, from 6:30-9:00PM. A hot buffet will be served.

I can’t believe a year has passed since his petirah. He was a very special man and his tzedaka activity was a totally selfless pursuit. This is a most worthy fund. Tizku LiMitzvos, and yehi zichro Boruch.
he was such a happy person to talk to !
always had a good word and a smile for everyone
He has left behind one of the most beautiful families Lakewood can bost of.
Every single penny went straight to almanos and there was zero overhead or expenses. He gave up precious time from his family so he could keep collecting even though he was very weak. Please give whatever you are able. His holy neshama should have an aliyah.
Bruce was a simple Tzadik, always with a smile and ready to help people in need. This is the best merit for him
A year already? Wow. Reb Bruce z”l was a chesed powerhouse.
THE NESHMA SHOULD HAVE AN ALIYA.he was a good friend with a lev tov, a true tzadick.i miss him dearly i feel like crying right now.i belive this tzdaka is a very worthy one and i will remember it and support it for the rest of my life b’n.and i will remember the efforts my DEAR FRIEND BRUCE,gave towards it up the the end of his life.
How I miss him so, I can’t believe it’s that long. It is just like yesterday when I heard the news, it was like I was totally numb all day. We all thought he would be at the head of the group greeting Moshiach.
It is a zchus to be associated with this special tzedakah which hashem says he is the avi hayisomim & is extra sensitive to those who help out almanas & yesomim!
Bruce, we now have something in Zichron Yakov called
Yad Baruch Yosef to help you support yesomim and almanos
