Families across Ocean County are invited to come out for an afternoon of free entertainment and activities as the Ocean County Parks Department hosts its “Sunday Funday” event at Ocean County Park in Lakewood.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Ocean County Park, located at 659 Ocean Avenue in Lakewood. Admission and parking are both free.

The afternoon will feature activities for children and adults, including live music, magic shows, a petting zoo, hayrides, Touch a Truck and a variety of field games.

The schedule begins with a scavenger hunt at 12:15 p.m., followed by a magic show at 12:30 p.m. A second magic show will take place at 2:30 p.m., with live music beginning at 1:30 p.m. Games including Pool Noodle Soccer and Hot Potato will also take place throughout the afternoon.

“Sunday Funday is a great opportunity for families to come out and enjoy one of the beautiful parks we have right here in Ocean County,” Ocean County Commissioner Sam Ellenbogen told TLS. “Especially here in Ocean County, where so many young families are always looking for affordable activities to enjoy together, an event like this gives parents and children a chance to spend a fun afternoon outdoors at no cost.”
