Baruch Dayan Ha’emes.
What a Nefesh Yekara!
I will never forget how he recited Kinos on Tisha Bav, genuine Availus on the Churban.
Despite a life of hardships, he was always mechazek others and was a Talmid Chamin with bekius in all areas of Torah.
Please post his name for Mishnayos.
I have a special place for him in my heart. We had many good years together in camp. Anyone from camp for the last 40 years will remember him and be very fond of him. His davening, learning and zemiros were a sight to see. I specifically remember all the melave Malkas together in camp. He had a tough life but was a very holy man. May his neshoma have an Aliya and may he be meilitz yosher for all those that cared for him. For the last few years he lived in Lakewood and some people who knew him from years back Took care of all his needs. Amazing people.
A huge talmid chochom
He was my first-grade rebbi nearly 50 years ago, and I still remember his eidelkeit and the love for Yiddishkeit he instilled in us. And of course there was his “herring bag” of prizes.

There will be more details at levaya.
He was a true oived Hashem, and a geshmake yid, who had a genuine love for others. Many people, my self included, when we had a tzorah we went to him for chizuk and advice or a brocha, he truly felt our pain. He was a brilliant person who had a deep understanding of things. He will be missed by all. Yehei Zichro Baruch.
He was an unbelievable person, and always so happy.
His knowledge was unbelievable.
May he be a meilitz yosher for everyone.
a very special human being. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Oy, the memories of Adas Yereim. What a special yid. I wish i knew he was living in Lakewood the last few years.
His legacy will go on but we must make a yartzeit yearly. he didn’t have any physical kids but spiritually we are all his kids and we mustn’t forget such a lofty and holy man that did so much for all of us. Whether it was a good word a smile or encouragement we should not forget our father. Uvi uvi……..,.
He helped me make a Sefer, bokei b’tanach im Kol nikidos utumim, bokei b’halacha, cheval al deavdin, borech dayan hoemes

R’ Obadiah was a special person. He was a Baki in Tanach and knew Torah Neviim and Kesuvim Baal Peh with the Trop. He was also a master in Dikduk. With all these Yedios he was still able to lower himself to explain Torah with amazing patience to those who asked him Shailos.
A giant of a person !
Yehi Zichro Baruch.
He was a real fixture of and part of the great atmosphere that was Camp Adas Yereim of years past. He was my Rebbe one summer and I was totally blown away by his vast knowledge of everything. A real eved and Oveid HaShem. He lived a life of total ruchniyos.
