Dear Johns Hopkins Medicine,
In the wake of these most heart-wrenching current events, and as a response to the Statement delivered to the entire Johns Hopkins Medicine community on October 10th, please allow me to express the following thoughts:
I shed mournful tears over the unspeakable massacre, once again, of my People, of my dear family and friends.
I shed tears of heartfelt prayer for the brave individuals taken hostage, for the critically injured whose precious souls waver between life and death.
I shed tears of hope over an incredible People, for rising up, and responding with heroic acts of kindness and charity, 24/7, for its soldiers and families.
I shed tears of gratitude to President Biden, to our benevolent Country, for its whole-hearted support of Israel, for condemning “pure, unadulterated evil.”
And I shed tears of disbelief and shock that an Institution which promotes human dignity and the ultimate value of life, of which I have been privileged to dedicate a decade of years of service, has failed to recognize and describe the horrific bloodshed of my People as an act of terrorism, but simply a “conflict between Israel and Palestine”.
It is my sincere and humble prayer that the days will speedily come, when G-d will erase tears from upon all faces, and all the peoples of the world will finally distinguish, and be brave and fearless enough to denounce pure evil from that which is good.

Amen, and Moshiach should come speedily in our days!
We should live in peace not in wars
A well-meaning letter, but an unlikely address. Whoever wrote it clearly just wanted to get his point across in as few words as possible, and there is nothing objectionable about that. Better send letters like these to media outlets and the like which have an actual agenda.
(I like the word “learners” in his email, though. Good English word to describe yungerleit).
