  1. From experience, if you’re right behind the school bus that close, you do not see the flashing lights unless you have a convertible with no roof. This happened to me by accident and I only realized when the bus driver honked at me and I stopped to hear her berating me and cursing me that I realized what happened. Maybe they should have a fluorescent STOP sign on the back of the bus instead of flashing lights. Just saying.

    • Thats why there’s also the big red STOP sign that folds out of the side of the bus, which would have been right in his face as he passed.

    • FROM EXPERIENCE, if there is a SCHOOL BUS that is stopping with FLASHING LIGHTS, whether you’re that close or not, EVERYONE is supposed to STOP until the lights are out. It was a DOUBLE SOLID line which means NO PASSING zone!! So… YOU’RE WRONG!!

  2. The bus driver is supposed to only open the door after traffic around the bus stops. This car obviously didn’t notice the blinking lights because they re high up and the car was right behind the bus. Same for the stop sign which only unfolded as the car was passing. Bus driver at fault.
