Statement From Hatzolah of Central Jersey on the Jackson Zoning Board Approval of a New Hatzolah Garage

Following last night’s approval by the Jackson Zoning Board to approve the first Hatzolah garage in the township, Hatzolah of Central Jersey issued the following statement:

In an unprecedented acknowledgment of the important role Hatzolah of Central Jersey plays in the lives of all Jackson residents, the Jackson zoning board has approved HCJ application for a variance to allow for the construction of the first Hatzolah garage in Jackson right outside Royal Grove.

Hatzolah of Central Jersey continues its enormous growth across the entire Central Jersey areas with new garage facilities currently in the planning stages in South and North Lakewood as well as Jackson. Hatzolah will be building three garages plus an additional headquarters that will house training and garage facilities in the coming year.

Hatzolah would like to thank the residents and town officials of Jackson for their overwhelming support as we continue our lifesaving work.

The garage, which will be located on East Veterans Highway, will be adjacent to a large Mikva, which was also approved Wednesday night by a 5-2 vote.

  1. Hatzolah & Mikvah Activists Proclaim, “We’re Melding Safety & Holiness Into One!”
When asked to express his views about the new Jackson mikvah and the new Hatzolah garage, Jackson resident Chaim Miktzola told reporters on Thursday: “As someone who typically goes to the mikvah several times a day, the knowledge that the Hatzolah garage and the new mikvah will be situated right next door to one other, thereby enabling me to pop out of the mikvah and immediately pop into the Hatzolah garage to treat any skin irritations I might develop from the mikvah’s chlorinated water, fills my heart with absolute joy.”
“This was clearly a well thought out, joint project by both the Mikvah and Hatzolah crews!” Mr. Miktzolah opined.
Responding to Mr. Miktzolah’s comments, Jackson Hatzolah member, Alex Vasserfeld, told reporters on Wednesday that the proximity of the Mikvah right next door to the Hatzolah garage is a two-way benefit that is beneficial not only to the mikvah attendees, but also to Haztolah’s crew members.
“I’ve often found it difficult to go to the mikvah as often as I’d like to, due to my round-the-clock Hatzolah duties,” Mr. Vasserrfeld said. “However, with the new mikvah situated right next door to the new Hatzolah garage, I can just hop on over from the garage to the mikvah and return to the garage within minutes! That’s incredibly awesome!
“With the new joint Mikvah/Hatzolah project,” Mr. Vasserfeld added, “we’ve, in essence, melded safety and holiness together, and brought both of these important items to the masses, as one melded structure – in one fell swoop! Kol Kakovod!”
In a joint statement issued later in the day, Jackson Hatzolah and Mikvah officials announced that, “As part of our joint endeavor – and to further enhance our goal of melding holiness and safety into one – Hatzolah will be hosting weekly lectures on the topic of mikvahs and holiness in its soon-to-be-built Hatzolah garage, while the Jackson mikvah crew will simultaneously host CPR courses in the new mikvah’s offices on the 2cnd floor. Have a wonderful Purim!”

  2. Based on how it was going, it probably wouldn’t have been approved had Mrs Parnes not boldly and articulately made the case for it. The community is indebted to her. Kol Hakavod
