State Farm Insurance Will Be Sending Hundreds of Dollars To Millions Of Drivers: See If You Are Eligible

Millions of State Farm customers in Lakewood and around the country have begun receiving payments as part of a one-time $5 billion dividend from State Farm Insurance, the largest such distribution in the company’s more than 100-year history.

The dividend is being distributed in waves to eligible customers nationwide and will cover more than 49 million State Farm Mutual auto vehicles. The payments are based on a percentage of the premium paid on qualifying policies in 2025, with percentages varying by state from 4% to 10%.

State Farm said millions of customers have already received their payments, with additional payments expected to be distributed over the coming months.

Qualifying customers will be notified by email or mail when their payment is ready. Customers who have an email address on file with State Farm will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions for accessing the State Farm dividend payment portal and selecting a preferred payment method.

Customers without an email address on file will automatically receive a check in the mail.

The dividend payment portal is available at sfdividend.com. Customers can also call the Dividend Customer Contact Center at 1-888-808-9532 with questions about their payment or state-specific distribution dates.

Because of the size of the distribution, State Farm said the nationwide payment process will take several months to complete.

“As a mutual company with a customer-first focus, State Farm Mutual is able to provide value directly to our customers while maintaining financial strength to keep our promises in the future,” State Farm Mutual President and CEO Jon Farney said. “That translated this year to lower auto rates and cash back in the form of a $5 billion policyholder dividend.”

State Farm said the dividend is retrospective and will not affect future auto insurance rates. Future rates are determined based on expected costs, trends and other factors used to match premiums to risk.

The company is also warning customers to be alert for potential scams involving the payments.

State Farm said customers should use the unique ID and PIN provided in their official dividend email when accessing the payment portal. The company will not charge a fee to issue a dividend and will not ask customers to send money.

State Farm also said it will not request customers’ personal email, banking or digital-wallet passwords.

Customers who receive an email about the dividend should verify that it comes from [email protected] and that the payment portal address is sfdividend.com before providing any information.
