With thousands of residents away for Pesach, several busy roads in Lakewood were repaved, giving them a complete makeover.
Some of those roads include South Clifton Avenue (pictured), Oak Street, Chestnut Street, Linden Avenue and others.
As the warmer weather arrives, repaving will continue on some other key roads in Lakewood, officials say, as well as ‘hot patch’ pothole filling.

We all complain when they do it during busy times… so thanks for doing it when we are all away!!!
Mind you, Chestnut is a county road
It says they were repaved, not paved by the township. a couple years ago, an article appeared in the local papers with a schedule for the township to repave many roads in town. I believe the spruce street area New England village and Williams street area were suppose to be done by now. Any idea on what the delay is all about?
Gabi, so thank the county. NISHT ALLES KUMPT DEER.
there all county roads. township roads they just patch.
Which county is Linden Ave. part of??
They paved the wrong part of oak. Unless that’s in the plans too it was between New Hampshire & Albert that’s very bad they did from schi till the other school. Either some gross miscommunication or just plain idiocy. You pick.
Thanx, DPW, great job. Clifton Ave South is great.
Why’s they re-stripe the same old stupid lines on S. Clifton? Once you are spending the money – move the lines over to stop the traffic jams each morning!!!!
Clifton Ave South is a county road..County does the striping and the paving..its their job and they will prob finish it this week..I hope.
